BMW Vision Neue Klasse Concept: The Result of a Digital Evolution

BMW once again demonstrated its ambition in the field of electric vehicle technology and digitalization with its new concept Vision Neue Klasse.

The VNK, which is the end point of the growing kidney grille, has a hood design that BMW calls “shark nose”. The grid extending from end to end is the same zamIt also hides the headlight assembly and daytime running lights inside.

Although VNK is quite innovative in terms of design, it is possible to say that it looks sporty. The diffuser at the front is the biggest proof of this. The new 21-inch wheels pay homage to the racing cars of the Bavarian manufacturer. Wanting to get rid of the metal logo craze, BMW printed its minimalistic logo right in front of the hood.

BMW describes its design as “monolithic”. We can refer to it as a monolithic, single piece. The feature of this design is that it allows the vehicle's range to increase by at least 30 percent. In fact, the German manufacturer states that this design language is 25 percent more economical than current EV models.

The range of the concept model has not been announced yet, but we are no strangers to seeing 1.000 km in such innovative models. The new eDrive system that the vehicle will use will be produced at BMW's facility in Hungary.

Let's talk about the cabin... The model, which uses BMW's new generation iDrive system, has an interesting infotainment system. BMW's Intelligent Personal Assistant system will also be available. However, what caught our attention was the system the brand calls "Panoramic Vision".

This system essentially adds BMW sauce to the traditional head-up display. All graphics used by the vehicle are projected into the driver's field of view, turning the entire windshield into a HUD. In this way, both the passenger and the driver can interact with this system.

BMW Neue Klasse will start production in Hungary again in 2025.

A Concept Where Digitalization is in the Foreground

BMW Vision Neue Klasse once again demonstrates the brand's claim in the field of digitalization. The Panoramic Vision system in the cabin allows the driver and passengers to see all the information about the vehicle and the environment at the same time. In this way, drivers can access the necessary information without distracting themselves along the way.

The design of the concept model also shows that digitalization is at the forefront. The monolithic design language allows the vehicle to be more aerodynamic and have a longer range. BMW states that this design language is 25 percent more economical than current EV models.

It will go into production in 2025

BMW Vision Neue Klasse will go into production in Hungary again in 2025. This is considered as part of the brand's electric vehicle strategy. BMW aims to make 2030 percent of its sales in Europe from electric vehicles by 50.

VNK will be an important step for the brand to achieve this goal.
