Volkswagen Saveiro goes on sale in South America with its new generation
Volkswagen introduced the new generation of Saveiro, one of the favorite models of South America. Known for its name from Brazil's traditional fishing boats, the model has been produced since 1982.
The new generation Saveiro has a more modern and sedate design. The chrome part in the front brings the model closer to the new Volkswagen models. While all versions of the Saveiro will come with 15-inch standard-sized wheels, it will offer a choice of five different colours.
The new generation Saveiro will be available with four different hardware packages. All models will come standard with rear parking sensors, hill start assist and four brake discs. All models that come with a 1.6-liter atmospheric engine will use a 5-speed manual transmission.
The "Extreme" version, the newest of the hardware packages, comes with minor visual updates. Users who will prefer this version will also have a touchscreen infotainment system that will support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Volkswagen Saveiro, which has been on sale in Brazil for 41 years, has sold more than 1.6 million units so far. The new generation model will continue this success.
