The number of electric vehicles in Turkey will exceed 10 million in 4 years

Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) published the Charging Infrastructure Projection.

According to the EMRA report, in 2025 the number of electric vehicles will be 202 thousand 30 in the low scenario, 269 thousand 154 in the medium scenario, and 361 thousand 893 in the high scenario.

The number of electric vehicles is increasing

While there were 14 thousand 896 electric vehicles in Turkey at the beginning of last year, today this number has reached 93 thousand 973.

The number of charging sockets will also increase

With the development of the charging infrastructure, the number of charging stations and sockets is expected to increase.

The number of charging sockets is expected to be 2035 thousand 146 in the low scenario, 916 thousand 273 in the medium scenario and 76 thousand 347 in the high scenario in 934.

While 2023 thousand 3 charging points were in service at the beginning of 81, a total of 11 thousand 412 charging points were reached as of the beginning of April, including 5 thousand 821 slow charging (AC) and 17 thousand 233 fast charging (DC).
