A record was broken in electric vehicle charging during the holiday: The target is 40 thousand stations

AA

Berkan Bayram, President of the Electric and Hybrid Vehicles Association (TEHAD), announced that the number of electric cars has exceeded 90 thousand and the number of charging sockets is approaching 20 thousand.

Bayram stated that during the Eid al-Fitr holiday, electric vehicle drivers inspected charging stations on their routes before setting off and followed the recommendations such as frequent charging at 70 percent instead of full charging, and stated that charging services were carried out without any problems during this period.

Bayram stated that a successful test was carried out this year in terms of electric vehicle density and rechargeability, and used the following statements:

In the past, there were some questions about electric vehicles and charging stations and concerns about the adequacy of these stations.

There were concerns that if a certain number of cars were charged at a certain point, the network could collapse, and serious problems would occur in the electricity network. As TEHAD, we have tried to explain this for years.

“There are no problems in the world either”

This is not an issue unique to our country. There are 12 million electric vehicles in the world. This style problem was not experienced in any region.

Türkiye has successfully completed its mission in the electric charging station network during the Eid al-Fitr holiday. During this period, electric car users had no problems with electric charging on their routes.

Bayram noted that the charging network investment support package announced by the Ministry of Industry and Technology has an accelerating effect on the expansion of investments in this field.

“At the end of the year, the number of charging sockets will reach 40 thousand

Bayram stated that it is estimated that the number of charging sockets will reach 35-40 thousand across Türkiye by the end of the year.
