Activity is expected in heavy commercial vehicle sales

According to the written statement made by the Heavy Commercial Vehicles Association (TAID), Chairman of the Board of Directors Burak Hoşgören evaluated the first quarter of 2024 at the meeting held with the participation of its members.

Drawing attention to the heavy commercial vehicle market in the first quarter of the year, Hoşgören said, “It shrank by 3 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. "While the total number of vehicles sold in this period was 10 thousand 121, an acceleration is expected in the other quarters of the year." He used the expressions.

Burak Hoşgören gave information about the activities of TAID members and stated that the 2023 export amount of the branch was at the level of 30 billion dollars.

Hoşgören said, “As TAID, we bring together many commercial vehicle manufacturers imported and produced in Turkey under one roof. All of these brands carry the burden of many different segments of society in Turkey and support local production and employment. On the other hand, our branch has strategic importance as our vehicle users also contribute to the country's production and exports.” made his evaluations.

Hoşgören emphasized that the sector's strategy is determined by complying with international standards and adopting sustainability elements, and stated that sustainability is an obligation for the department in every aspect.

Hoşgören underlined that they have to implement sustainability policies in the European Union and all over the world and said:
