Volkswagen and XPeng Join Forces

German automotive manufacturer Volkswagen collaborated with Chinese startup XPeng to produce smart cars. A cooperation agreement was signed for two smart vehicles to be developed for the Chinese market. According to the statement made by Volkswagen, the two new vehicles expected to be launched in 2026 will have the latest technological software and hardware.

According to the agreement, the companies will create a joint supply program for vehicle and platform parts. It was stated that this joint program will make the design and engineering phase more efficient and shorten the development time of new electric vehicles by 30 percent.

With our collaboration with XPeng, we not only shorten the development time of vehicles, but also increase efficiency and optimize costs.
