Togg dethroned US Tesla

According to November data of the Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association (ODMD), Turkey's automobile and light commercial vehicle total market grew by 60,8 percent on an annual basis in the January-November period. Thus, for the first time in the history of the Turkish automotive market, the 1 million figure was exceeded and 1 million 73 thousand 982 sales were achieved. Previously, the highest sales were made in 983 with 720 thousand 2016 units.

In the 11 months of this year, automobile sales increased by 66,2 percent to 840 thousand 925, and light commercial vehicle sales increased by 43,7 percent to 233 thousand 57 units.

Looking specifically at November, automobile and light commercial vehicle sales increased by 39,8 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 115 thousand 40. Last month, automobile sales increased by 54,4 percent to 91 thousand 424, and light commercial vehicle sales increased by 2,3 percent to 23 thousand 616.

– 10-YEAR AVERAGE SALES

While automobile and light commercial vehicle sales increased by 10 percent compared to the 42,6-year November average, the increase rate was 47,8 percent for automobiles and 25,5 percent for light commercial vehicles.

When the automobile market is evaluated by segments, 89 percent of the market consists of vehicles in segments A, B and C, which have low tax rates. When looked at by body type, the most preferred body type was SUV cars. SUV cars were followed by sedan and hatchback vehicles.

– SALES BY ENGINE TYPE

When looking at automobile sales by engine type, gasoline vehicles took a 561 percent share with 53 thousand 66,7 units. While diesel car sales had a share of 121 percent with 511 thousand 14,4, the share of autogas car sales was 9 percent with 247 thousand 1,1.

While hybrid cars took a 89 percent share of the market with 13 thousand 10,6 sales, the share of electric car sales, which reached 11 thousand 60 in 101 months, was 7,1 percent.

-TOGG RANKS FIRST IN ELECTRIC SALES

Looking at the sales figures of the brands, Togg renewed its monthly delivery record in November. Last month, 4 thousand 401 T13Xs were introduced to users, and a total of 572 thousand 10 TXNUMXXs were introduced to users since May.

Thus, Togg was at the top of electric car sales in 11 months, followed by Tesla with 11 thousand 600 sales. In the ODMD report, it was noted that the data for the Tesla brand was determined as an estimate in the light of the statements made to the public.
