Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer, who examined the ongoing works at Göl Casino, said that they wanted to use the building as a Wax Sculpture Museum. Reminding that Lake Casino is one of the symbols of Kültürpark, Mayor Soyer said, “I am proud to be rebuilding Lake Casino in accordance with its original. Because he was at a point where he had completed his physical life. It was very battered and worn out. It was decided that the Lake Casino was not suitable for reinforcement in accordance with the restoration and reconstruction projects approved by the Izmir No. 1 Cultural Heritage Preservation Regional Board. When the board-approved project reached us, we took over the building. There were reports that the building could not handle the static reinforcement. We completely demolished it and are rebuilding it to its original state. "When the work is completed, we will have a structure that will revive the culture of the Izmir International Fair," he said.

Stating that they will have completed this structure, which the people of Izmir will be very happy with and will like, by the end of March, Mayor Soyer said, “We planned to use it as a Wax Sculpture Museum. 80 percent of the rough construction has been completed
Göl Casino, of which eighty percent of the rough construction has been completed, will be rebuilt exactly in accordance with its original architecture. The project consists of approximately 1000 square meters of closed area and approximately 300 square meters of open terraces. At Ada Casino, existing additions were removed and cleaning work was carried out. Preparations are being made for reinforcement works.

Ada and Lake casinos, which date back to the then Mayor Behçet Uz's plan to establish an international fairground in the region destroyed in the Izmir fire, have an important place in the culture and art history of Izmir. These historical places, where the most important artistic activities of not only Izmir but also Turkey were carried out, hosted famous artists and left traces in the memory of a period.
