James Vowles has become Williams' new team principal ahead of the 2023 Formula 1 season. Vowles has a long history of F1 and, along with Team Brackley, has seen Brawn GP's doubles title in 2009 and Mercedes eight Constructors' Championships in a row from 2014-2021.

Vowles studied mathematics and computer science at the University of East Anglia and earned a Masters in Motorsport Engineering and Management.
