Fernando Alonso and Max Verstappen are among the two best drivers in Formula 1. Although the two compete fiercely on the track, they maintain a good friendship off the track.
In a recent interview with the BBC, Alonso said he admires Verstappen's lifestyle outside of the racetrack. The Dutch driver doesn't pretend to be a celebrity except on race weekends. Rather, he spends time with his family and competes in virtual races with normal people around the world.
“I love Max,” Alonso said. "He's a driver who showed up at the track that Thursday, dressed in a Red Bull uniform, raced Saturday and Sunday, then left the track and went straight home."
“Then he races either in the simulator or in GTs with his father and enjoys motorsport in general. Despite all this, she leads a normal life.”
