Volvo EM90: Premium Electric MPV

Volvo has made the official announcement of its first premium electric MPV model, the EM90. The model will be available for pre-order in China on November 12.

The Volvo EM90 is described as “The Scandinavian living room in motion”. The model features a smaller sunroof on the roof for the driver and front passenger, along with a larger window for the rear passengers. Sliding rear doors provide practical use.

At the back of the new EM90, T-shaped LED taillights and the illuminated Volvo lettering in the middle draw attention. The interior is not yet known, but thanks to the panoramic sunroof at the top, the comfortable captain's seats in the second row can be seen.

The Volvo EM90 will most likely be based on the sister brand's Zeekr 009 model. Looking at the details, it is seen that the details such as the sunroof on the roof, door handles, fin antenna and side mirrors are the same.

Technical details are not yet clear, but some information can be shared based on Zeekr 009. The Chinese model has a length of 5209 mm, a width of 2024 mm, a height of 1867 mm and a wheelbase of 3205 mm. Powering a total of 534 hp from two electric motors, the electric MPV offers a driving range of up to 140 kilometers, according to CLTC measurements in China, thanks to its large 822 kWh battery.
