In late June, we told you that Tesla was interested in the acquisition of Wiferion, a Germany-based wireless charging startup known for inductive charging technology for industrial robots and electric vehicles. Now, several German publications have confirmed that Wiferion has accepted an offer to be fully acquired by Tesla.

The official cost of the transaction has not been disclosed, but as previously reported, the acquisition is expected to be around several tens of millions of dollars – possibly between $50 and $100 million.
