Fiat has started preparations for a new electric vehicle that it plans to launch in July 2024. The vehicle will be inspired by the minimalist design of the Fiat Panda and will have a price tag of under €25,000 ($27.347). The vehicle will compete with Renault's Dacia Spring model.
Alongside Fiat's new electric vehicle, Stellantis plans to launch an all-electric city vehicle with French brand Citroen early next year for under €25,000. Called the e-C3, it will be produced in Slovakia and aims to provide cost control and better compete with competitors such as the Chinese-made Dacia Spring and the upcoming all-electric French Renault 5.
This strategic initiative by the automakers reflects their efforts to retain their customer base, which is faced with the impact of inflation on their spending power.
