The model of the world's first electric heavy-duty truck Mercedes-Benz eActros, designed as a waste collection vehicle, was put into service by REMONDIS.

REMONDIS, one of the largest recycling, water and service companies in the world, aims to use eActros in different regions. Various scopes of eActros, which was put into mass production in 2021, were developed by the Mercedes-Benz Türk Trucks R&D team.

The scope of heavy-duty use applications of Mercedes-Benz eActros, the world's first electric heavy-duty truck and put into mass production in 2021, continues to expand gradually. The model of eActros, designed as a waste collection vehicle, to which the R&D team of Mercedes-Benz Türk Trucks made significant contributions from the prototype to the mass production process, was put into service by REMONDIS, one of the largest recycling, water and service companies in the world.

REMONDIS, which uses the Mercedes-Benz eActros in Cologne to provide waste collection services, also plans to provide urban waste collection services in the Rhineland region with the eActros.

Mercedes-Benz Türk Trucks R&D team assumed important responsibilities

Various scopes of eActros were developed by Mercedes-Benz Türk Truck R&D teams. Some of the systems developed by the Truck R&D team for eActros took place for the first time in heavy commercial vehicles under the umbrella of Daimler Truck; Mercedes-Benz Türk Truck R&D teams are fully responsible for systems such as starting batteries and cables, as well as low voltage power distribution units.

Developing the AVAS (Audible Pedestrian Warning System), In-cab Emergency Driver Alert System and High and Low Voltage Power Systems in the vehicle, Mercedes-Benz Türk Truck R&D teams also have their signatures on chassis & cabin modeling and calculations, with global project support and coordination. .
