Defined as iFactory by the BMW Group and investing 7 million Euros in the production of the New BMW 300 Series, the facility also produces power units and high-voltage batteries for cars with fully electric and hybrid engines.

BMW's flagship model with a history of 45 years; BMW Group's green, digital and sustainable production facility has started to be produced in its internal combustion and fully electric motor versions at the Dingolfing Factory. The facility, which will start the production of the Plug-in Hybrid engine version of the car in a short time, will thus be producing the New BMW 7 Series with three different engines under the same roof.

The Dingolfing Factory, which is in a radical transformation in line with the new production vision of the BMW Group, not only saves millions of Euros for the BMW Group in line with the optimized production line and logistics requirements for the production of the new BMW 7 Series, but also as a less polluting facility in the automotive sector. exemplary.

The Ultimate Point of Luxury E-Mobility

The iX, the flagship of BMW's electric product range, the New BMW 2022 Series that will meet on the roads in 7, and the fully electric version of the New BMW 7 Series, the i7, symbolize the luxury segment electromobility owned by the Dingolfing Factory. The new BMW 7 Series will be available in Europe for the first time as a fully electric BMW i7 xDrive60 version. This model, which offers a range of up to 625 km according to WLTP norms, is driven by two electric motors located on the front and rear axles. Producing a total of 544 horsepower and 745 Nm of torque, the New BMW 7 Series i7 xDrive60 can reach from 10 percent to 80 percent occupancy at the DC charging station in just 34 minutes.
As one of the most powerful engine options of the new BMW 7 Series, the New BMW M760e xDrive stands out. This model with Plug-in Hybrid technology produces 571 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. The new BMW 2023 Series with Plug-in Hybrid engine, which is planned to be sold in many markets at the beginning of 7, has the 5th generation of eDrive technology, just like the all-electric model. Thanks to this technology, the car can travel 80 km on electricity alone.

The 740d xDrive diesel engine version is among the alternative engines of the New BMW 7 Series. The new BMW 300 Series models with this 7 horsepower unit are expected to take their place on the European market in the spring of 2023.

Production with Maximum Flexibility

Thanks to the flexible production system implemented by the BMW Group in Dingolfing, the New BMW 7 Series is produced on the same band with fully electric, hybrid and internal combustion engine options. In addition, this production line stands out as the production line of BMW iX, BMW 5 Series and BMW 8 Series. For the special paint of the New BMW 7 Series, which can be preferred with double body colors for the first time, techniques obtained from serial production and paint experts specialized in Dingolfing are used.

Batteries and Electric Motors are Produced Nearby

The electric motor and high-voltage batteries of the all-electric New BMW 7 Series i7 are produced at the BMW Group e-Drive Production Authority, located very close to this facility, as are the New BMW iX, New BMW i4 and BMW iX3 models.

The center, which has two production lines, produces parts for more than 500 thousand electric vehicles per year.
