Stellantis can produce new Jeep models in Turkey

It is stated that Antonio Filosa, who was appointed as the new CEO, plans to shift production to other countries in order to reduce costs, and in this sense, Turkey is among the prominent options.

It is claimed that the brand, which aims to double its global sales by 2030, can establish a long-term cooperation with TOFAŞ in this sense.

The new CEO has big goals

Filosa aims to double Jeep's global sales to 2 million by the end of the decade, its US sales from 634 thousand vehicles to 1 million, and its European market share to 2 percent.

To achieve these plans, it is planned to increase the production of the Jeep brand.

According to Antonio Filosa, thanks to Stellantis, there are many production facilities where Jeep models can be easily added.

Filosa said that they are currently examining options in North Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia, including Turkey.

TOFAŞ purchased the Turkish rights of Stellantis last year. Within the scope of the agreement, it was decided that TOFAŞ would distribute Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Citroën, DS Automobiles, Jeep, Maserati, Opel and Peugeot brand vehicles under the umbrella of Stellantis.
