Three Star Environmental Certificate from FIA to Peugeot Sport

Peugeot has become the first manufacturer to receive the FIA's prestigious environmental rating in the World Endurance Championship (WEC).

The Stellantis Group has been working intensively on global environmental impacts for several years, as has the International Automobile Federation (FIA). As part of this approach, Peugeot Sport was awarded a three-star environmental certificate from the FIA. Thus, Peugeot Sport became the first manufacturer to receive this award in the FIA World Endurance Championship. The three-star environmental certificate is awarded by the FIA to organizations that are committed to protecting the environment, reducing carbon emissions and establishing sustainable practices in the automotive world.

Peugeot Sport, which received the Low Carbon Award at the World Endurance Championship (WEC) last year, further emphasizes the importance of improving initiatives on environmental impact by receiving a three-star certificate from the FIA. This award perfectly reflects the Stellantis Group's strategy to reduce greenhouse gases in its 'Dare Forward' strategic plan, which aims to be carbon neutral by 2038. FIA draws attention to the importance of creating and implementing a roadmap to reduce greenhouse gases, from energy consumption to optimum lighting management. However, Stellantis Motorsport is not satisfied with this and is already planning the next step.

Stellantis Motorsport is working with all its collaborators to discuss and exchange ideas on climate challenges in order to achieve the goals it has set. This helps everyone understand more about their personal impact and the global impact of their sport.

“Awards such as three stars from the FIA for our Formula E activity in 2023, Low Carbon Impact for Peugeot Sport in the WEC and DMSB Sustainability for the Opel Corsa e-Rally Cup are great for all Stellantis Motorsport teams,” said Jean-Marc Finot, Senior Vice President of Stellantis Motorsport. a pride.
