Türkiye loves SUVs: 50 new models will be on the roads before the end of the year

When we look at the numbers around the world, we see that SUV models are now mostly preferred in cars.

According to the information of the Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association (ODMD), sales increased by 2024 percent in the January-March 33,05 period compared to the same period last year, reaching 233 thousand 389.

One in every two vehicles sold is an SUV

The most preferred body type in the car market in the January-March period was SUV body type cars with a 51,7 percent share and 120 thousand 699 sales.

Thus, one in every two vehicles sold in the automotive market was recorded as an SUV.

50 new SUVs are on the way

The fact that SUV models are well-known in our country has also mobilized brands.

By the end of this year, 50 new models from different brands will be added to SUV vehicles, which have increased their market share significantly in recent years.

Among the SUV models that will go on sale soon are internal combustion, hybrid and electric vehicles.

Among these, there are also electric SUV models that the brand will produce for the first time.

Reflecting the brand's new design language, Milano will be available for pre-sale in Turkey in May through the brand's online sales channel. Deliveries will start from September.

BYD's new model is on the way

BYD, China's largest electric vehicle manufacturer, which entered the Turkish market with the Atto 3 full electric model in November, has now turned its attention to the hybrid Seal U model.

BYD aims to offer the hybrid version of this model in Europe, first in Turkey.

The model, which will be available for sale in our country for the first time in Europe, will be on the roads as of April 15.

Opel Frontera is also counting the days

Opel officially announced that it was preparing to launch its model named "", which has gained a wide customer base in the past, in 2024.

The company will revive the once-famous name “Frontera” with a contemporary SUV design.

The world launch of the Frontera model will be held in Turkey on May 14. Frontera, which will replace the Opel Crossland, will be available in a hybrid version as well as a fully electric version.

Apart from this, many different brands will bring their new SUV models to our country by the end of the year and join the increasing competition.
