Versatile and efficient: The new Mercedes-Benz eSprinter

Standing out as a versatile vehicle with its efficiency, range and load volume, the new Mercedes-Benz eSprinter includes many technical innovations and is based on a new concept consisting of three modules. Thus, it offers the freedom to be developed and designed with different lengths and bodies.

Designed as a uniform body, the front module covers all high-voltage components and can be combined with all vehicle types without changes, regardless of wheelbase and battery size. The space-saving integrated high-voltage battery module is located under the body. The battery location between the axles ensures optimal placement of the high-voltage battery with its robust battery body. The low center of gravity has a positive effect on handling. The rear module with an electrically driven rear axle is also used in all models of the new eSprinter. The compact and powerful electric motor is also integrated into the rear module.

Electric powertrain systems and high-voltage battery

The electric drive rear axle in the new Mercedes-Benz eSprinter offers customers; It provides significant advantages in terms of vehicle lengths, maximum gross vehicle weight (up to 4,25 tons), towing capacities (up to 2 tons) and load volume (maximum 14 m³). The new eSprinter is available with an efficient electric motor, each providing a maximum power of 100 and 150 kW. The new permanent magnet synchronous motor (PSM) stands out with its particularly high efficiency. Customers can choose between three different battery sizes for the new eSprinter (113 kWh, 81 kWh or 56 kWh), depending on their individual requirements in terms of range and payload. The electric range calculated by a simulation based on the WLTP cycle reaches up to 440 kilometers (up to 500 kilometers in urban areas). The new DAUTO automatic recovery system in the eSprinter ensures an extremely efficient and comfortable driving style. Information from radar, camera and navigation data is collected and processed and the energy recovery intensity is realised. zamIt instantly adapts to driving conditions. In addition, with the ECO Assist function, depending on equipment and country, it analyzes whether there is a vehicle ahead, what the speed limit is or whether there is a hill ahead and determines what your foot does from the accelerator pedal. zamIt indicates on the display panel that the moment needs to be withdrawn. Additionally, three driving modes allow you to choose between maximum comfort or maximum range.

Mercedes-Benz fast charging

Like all Mercedes-Benz electric van models, the new eSprinter has both alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) charging capability. The integrated charger enables direct current charging up to 115 kW (optional) at the fast charging station. Thus, the 56 kWh capacity battery is charged from 115 percent to 28 percent in approximately 10 minutes with a maximum of 80 kW. Charging the battery, which has a usable capacity of 113 kWh, takes approximately 115 minutes with a maximum of 42 kW.

The new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with conventional drive offers maximum flexibility

New Mercedes-Benz Sprinter; It meets the requirements of different sectors and areas of use with different power transmission types, including rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, and maximum gross vehicle weight (up to 5,5 tons).

In addition to the high-efficiency 2,0-liter diesel engine (OM654), there are four different power options: 110 kW, 125 kW and 140 kW, depending on the selected model and power transmission type. Power transmission is provided by the comfortable 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission or 6-speed manual transmission.

Current MBUX generation and different digital extras

In both eSprinter and Sprinter, the latest generation of the MBUX (Mercedes Benz User Experience) infotainment system with a 26 cm (10,25 inch) screen is offered as standard equipment. With additional functions that contribute to greater comfort and safety, Sprinter and eSprinter offer a structure that is smarter and makes customers' daily lives easier.

Thanks to MBUX, the new eSprinter also integrates into the electromobile ecosystem with smart navigation (navigation with electric intelligence) with active range management and cloud-based services and applications. This ensures a comfortable journey with transparency and the highest possible planning security.

Security and support systems: Better support in every situation

The safety and assistance systems of the new Sprinter and eSprinter models feature additional, and in some cases new and more advanced, functions, most of which are included in the standard equipment. It is equipped as standard with comprehensive safety and support functions, including Active Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Assist, ATTENTION ASSIST fatigue warning, Smart Speed Assist with cruise control including free navigation data for up to seven years from the vehicle's production date, reversing camera for panel vans and minibuses. . Also optionally available for the first time is the Take-Off Information Assist, which prevents collisions with other road users in front of the vehicle when taking off. Apart from this, Side Protection Assist, which is standard for N2 approved vehicles but optional in other versions, helps to better detect pedestrians and cyclists in a defined area on the passenger side.
