Despite the general increase in automobile prices, vehicles with electric fuel types, whose prices decreased by 4,4 percent compared to February last year, are becoming more common, with the effect of increasing brand diversity.

According to the data in the note titled "Electric cars are becoming widespread" by Bahçeşehir University Economic and Social Research Center (BETAM), the average current price of a car for sale increased by 39,3 percent compared to February last year. On the other hand, the real price of automobiles decreased by 16,6 percent compared to the same month last year and by 5 percent compared to the previous month.

According to vehicle classes, the highest annual price increase rate was in B class (48,7 percent) and the lowest in E class (26,5 percent). According to age groups, the highest annual increase rate was in the 20+ age group (78,5 percent), and the lowest increase rate was in the 0-3 age group. (37,3 percent).

The highest annual increase rate by fuel type was seen in Gasoline & LPG type (53,8 percent). Prices of vehicles with electric fuel type decreased by 4,4 percent compared to February last year, with the effect of increasing brand diversity.

In the statement, it was stated that the automobile demand index increased by 4 percent compared to January, and said, "The ratio of the number of cars sold to the number of advertisements for sale, which we monitor as an indicator of vitality in the automobile market, increased by 1,3 points and reached 19 percent. "When the details of this indicator are examined, it is seen that both the number of advertisements and the number of cars sold have increased."

The closed advertisement age, which shows how long car advertisements for sale remain on the air, which is used as another measure of vitality in the automobile market, decreased by 1,8 days compared to last month and became 23,3 days. According to BETAM, all indicators point to a revival in the second-hand car market in February.
