Many regions of China have been under the influence of cold waves, snowstorms and rains for the last few weeks. It is estimated that millions of people traveling for the Chinese New Year holiday are affected by this situation. While the government increases 'emergency response' measures against cold weather, plans are being made to supply materials and electricity to cities and regions such as the capital Beijing, Hebei, Shanzi, Anhui and Hubei. The China Meteorological Administration predicts that cold weather will continue in many parts of the country.
