Honda Aims to Become a Leader in the Electric Motorcycle Market

Honda announced its new strategies to become a leader in the electric motorcycle market. It plans to increase electric motorcycle sales to 2030 million units by 4 and launch more than 30 electric models. Investments Are Increasing in Line with the Electric Vision

Honda, as one of the world's largest motorcycle manufacturers, wants to be assertive in the electric motorcycle market. In this regard, Honda has determined a strategy called 'Electric Vision' and made statements regarding its electric motorcycle activities.

Honda updated the global sales target of its electric motorcycles in 2030 to 500 million units, an increase of 4 thousand. To achieve this goal, electric motorcycle investments, which started in 2020, will reach a total of 2030 billion yen (approximately 500 billion dollars) in 3,4.

In this regard, the Honda RoadSync connection feature, which is one of the equipment offered in some models in Turkey, will be improved and a new infotainment system that can make suggestions and include navigation functions will be available in 2024. In addition to connectivity features, connectivity features will be strengthened by installing a Telematics Control Unit (TCU) in the new Honda models that will be offered for sale in 2026.

Battery Technology is Developing in Electric Motorcycles

Honda, which continues its engineering studies to develop products for the battery, which is one of the focal points of electric motorcycles, also announced that it is continuing its research to introduce lithium ferro-phosphate (LFP) batteries in 2025, in addition to the triple lithium ion batteries currently used.
