BYD Seal is Coming to Turkey: Here are its Price and Features
BYD draws attention with its ambitious models in the electric car market. Each model of the brand has a different character and Seal is one of them. With its dynamic design, high performance and long range, Seal will be available for sale in Turkey in the first quarter of 2024. So what are the price and features of BYD Seal? Here are the details.
How is BYD Seal Designed?
BYD Seal stands out as one of the sportiest models of the brand. The model, which has a coupe-like silhouette, has a very low air resistance of 0.21. This provides advantages in terms of both performance and efficiency. We should also point out that BYD Seal won the iF design award with this design.
The exterior design of BYD Seal includes C-shaped thin LED headlights, vertical air intakes and an X-shaped light signature at the front. On the side, 19-inch wheels, hidden door handles and side mirrors with NFC marking can be seen. NFC indicates that it offers keyless entry and starting of the car. At the rear, LED taillights extending from end to end, sporty air ducts and the 0s text showing the 100-3.8 km/h acceleration attract attention.
Quality materials, a mixture of leather and nubuck fabric, are used in the interior design of BYD Seal. There is a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel behind the three-spoke steering wheel. There is a large 15.6-inch touch screen on the center console. This screen offers Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. In addition, equipment such as a 12-speaker Dynaudio sound system, voice control system, panoramic glass roof, electric trunk lid, electric, heated and ventilated front seats are also offered in the interior of BYD Seal.
What's the Condition of BYD Seal's Motor and Battery?
BYD Seal comes with two different engine options. The rear-wheel drive version has a single engine and this engine produces 230 kW power and 360 Nm torque. The four-wheel drive version has dual engines and these engines provide 390 kW power and 670 Nm torque. While the rear-wheel drive version completes the 0-100 km/h acceleration in 5,9 seconds, the four-wheel drive version achieves this acceleration in just 3,8 seconds.
BYD Seal's battery is the brand's famous Blade battery. This battery has a capacity of 82.5 kWh and offers a range of up to 570 km according to the WLTP norm. In urban use, this range can go up to 690 km. BYD Seal's battery works efficiently with a battery management system combined with the heat pump. The average energy consumption is announced as 18.2 kWh/100 km for the four-wheel drive version.
What is the Price of BYD Seal?
BYD Seal will be available for sale in Turkey in the first quarter of 2024. The starting price of the model in Europe is set at 44.900 euros. The price of the four-wheel drive version will be around 50 thousand euros. Its price in Turkey is expected to be higher due to taxes.
