Opel shared the first images and information about the design concept, which gives important clues about its future models and technologies, at IAA Mobility. The chrome-free design created by contrast graphics gave clues about what Opel models of the future will look like. Opel Experimental, which is the reflection of the brand's bold and simple design approach in a battery electric crossover vehicle, shapes the efficiency approach with its smart and optimized aero solutions. While the front and rear aero-wings can extend and retract depending on the current driving conditions, they contribute to aerodynamic efficiency.
Opel Experimental also fascinates with the feeling of spaciousness in the interior. This is made possible by liberating the space, “Space Detox” as the brand calls it. The steering wheel folds away seamlessly when not needed. This feature is made possible by the electric steering system, which further reduces weight by eliminating mechanical steering components. Adaptive seats combine a simple but durable structure with fabrics with 3D knitting technology. Electrochromic fabrics increase cabin spaciousness by creating a bright environment.
