Charles Leclerc disappointed at Zandvoort

Charles Leclerc was disappointed both Saturday and Sunday at Formula 1's Dutch Grand Prix.

Leclerc, who crashed in qualifying on Saturday, started the race from the last row. On Sunday, he was out of the race by damaging his car in the first lap of the race.

Leclerc hopes Monza will do better after a tough weekend.

The Monaco driver said: “Overall we did not have the weekend we wanted. But I am already looking forward to Monza.” said.

Leclerc admits Monza is not on paper a Ferrari SF-23. However, he reminded that this year's season has some surprises.

“Monza doesn't look very good for us on paper, but this year there have been some cases where it was just the opposite. For example, while we didn't expect to be very good at the Spa, we had a very positive weekend.”

Leclerc said that they will try to improve the balance of the car in order to start the race from a better position at Monza.

“We've had a tough season so far, but our biggest issue this weekend was drivability. We need to examine this issue. I hope we have a better balance at Monza.”

Leclerc admitted that Zandvoort has been one of the toughest weekends this year.

“It seems so in terms of results. It has been a very difficult weekend for us.”

“It was probably the hardest weekend of the season in terms of stability and drivability. So we have to look at that because in the last two or three races everything has been getting better.”

Leclerc is looking forward to Ferrari having a car that can compete for the top.

“I'm really looking forward to having a car that will allow us to fight for the top. This is the most important thing we can do this year.”
