Ford Escape's Production Ends

It has been reported that production of Ford's best-selling SUV model Escape will end. According to Automotive News' report, Detroit-based automotive manufacturer Ford will continue production of the Escape until 2025, after which it will be replaced by an all-electric vehicle.

A Ford spokesperson said: “The Escape remains and will remain an important part of our product line. The new 2023 Escape model went on sale this year. “With the new ST-Line equipment level, new hybrid and plug-in hybrid options have arrived and we are pleased with the sales performance.” he said.

According to reports, the reason for the Escape's discontinuation is Ford's focus on electric vehicles. The company aims to make 2030% of all its sales consist of electric vehicles by 40.

For the 2023 model year, the Escape receives styling revisions such as LED headlights and optional 19-inch wheels. Inside, a 13.2-inch display has added Sync 4 software and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. The digital instrument panel is 12.3 inches in size. Ford also offers safety technologies such as steering assistance, adaptive cruise control, 360-degree cameras, rear parking sensors and cross-traffic braking.

It is a matter of curiosity how the end of Escape's production will affect Ford's position in the SUV segment. The company hopes the electric SUV that will replace the Escape will be successful.
