At the Italian Grand Prix, Fernando Alonso finished 10th and finished ninth, and Lance Stroll climbed from 20th to 16th on the grid but failed to score. With Ferrari taking third and fourth places, the Maranello team moved up to third place in the constructors' championship, ahead of Aston.
Talking about the Monza race, team principal Mike Krack said, "I think we overemphasized the term damage limitation." said. Krack stressed that the team must learn lessons for Las Vegas and next year.
Krack admitted that a difficult car and one-stop strategy made life difficult for Alonso and Stroll at Monza. Krack said his drivers did a great job and they needed to give themselves a better car.
Krack believes the AMR23 will be more competitive in Singapore despite the revised layout.
