The qualifying laps of the 2023 Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix ended with Francesco Bagnaia winning pole position. Despite dominating all three practice sessions, Aprilia lagged behind Ducati in qualifying.

Bagnaia broke the lap record of the track with a time of 1.38.639 in his fastest lap in the second session, and also qualified to start the race from the first place. This was Bagnaia's second pole position this season.

Although Aleix Espargaro pushed until the last lap, he could not show the desired performance in the third sector and took second place with a margin of 0.104 seconds. This was Espargaro's best qualifying result this season.

Miguel Oliveira took the lead from Q1, creating a big surprise. The Portuguese driver showed a good performance in his last lap and took the third place. This was Oliveira's first top-three finish since the 2020 Portuguese GP.

Maverick Vinales took the third fastest lap in Q2 to secure fourth place. Jorge Martin and Johann Zarco became the other two drivers in the top six.

Alex Marquez was seventh, while Brad Binder was eighth. Marco Bezzecchi and Enea Bastianini rounded out the top ten.

Although Marc Marquez was promoted to Q1 by taking the air lane from Jack Miller, who remained from Q2, he could not show the desired performance and will start from the 12th place. Miller remained in 13th place.

Pol Espargaro was ranked 14th. Augusto Fernandez remained in last place in 19th place.

Yamaha was greatly disappointed with last year's winner Fabio Quartararo remaining 17th. Franco Morbidelli ranked 16th.
