Johann Zarco is ready for new adventures for Honda

Transfer season continues in full throttle in MotoGP. The first move was Franco Morbidelli's departure from Yamaha and his replacement by Alex Rins, who decided to leave LCR Honda.

Morbidelli's departure will likely cause a stir within Ducati as well. As a matter of fact, he is expected to switch to VR46, and Marco Bezzecchi to Pramac.

Bezzecchi's transfer to Pramac most likely means Johann Zarco's departure from Ducati.

The French driver has always been on good terms with Honda, he even received an offer from Repsol Honda in the 2019 season, but preferred KTM.

Zarco, who took the seat of LCR Honda instead of Takaaki Nakagami, who was injured in the last three races of the 2019 season after leaving KTM early, is ready for a new challenge.

“I am proud to be the man who will lead the team to success because I did not do well at KTM,” Zarco said.

“Maybe my feedback was good for KTM but I wasn't ready to be in this position with the results I got.”

“So my final decision was to go back to Ducati.”

“But I'm a much more mature driver now than in 2019, so we need to look at all the options.” said.

Zarco, who also denies the claims that he will switch to World Superbike, emphasizes that he is still good enough for MotoGP.

“I am now fourth in the championship, why should I consider switching to Superbikes?” Zarco said.

“Even though I came to the team with very good results, I still don't have a seat for next year. I feel strange.”

“But I'm not going to go Superbike while I'm doing my current performance. It's not because I don't like Superbike, it's because I'm not good enough even if I'm told I can't win."

“How many people are in the top five in the championship every year during the season? I am a strong soldier and will remain so.” said.

Like Zarco, the strongest candidate for the LCR Honda seat, WSBK driver Iker Lecuona has also been prominent lately.
