The second leg of ApexMasters 1 Turkey Drift Championship, the 2023st leg of which was held at Kocaeli Körfez Track, was held at Yunuseli Airport on 2-12 August under the coordination of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality and TOSFED. Turkey's best drift pilots showed their skills in the races where automobile enthusiasts showed great interest. The qualifying rounds on Saturday, August 13, and the championship, where the races were held on Sunday, August 12, witnessed breathtaking views with the door-to-door struggles of the athletes. The organization of the championship, which was held for the first time in Bursa, provided unforgettable moments to automobile sports and drift enthusiasts. The second leg of the championship, in which thousands of spectators participated for free, witnessed exciting moments with plenty of smoke and door-to-door fights. Reza Fahim Keykhosravi from the Build Goal team, who showed a successful performance at the end of the tough struggles, won the first place, Ertekin Tekneci came second, Ege Bilaloğlu third, and Bursa athlete Ömer Mert Örs came fourth.
Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş, who participated in the races at Yunuseli Airport, witnessed exciting moments with automobile enthusiasts. President Aktaş, who toured the track in his TOGG car and greeted the people of Bursa, then got into the vehicle of Kemal Özhaseki, the experienced drift pilot and race director of the championship. The experienced pilot, who drew eight between two TOGGs with his drift vehicle, gave the audience enthusiastic moments. Saying that they are happy to host the second leg of the Turkish Drift Championship as Bursa, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş wished success to the athletes competing in the championship. Expressing that the people of Bursa show great interest in the races and that thousands of sports fans come to Yunuseli Airport, Mayor Aktaş said, “The cars almost dance in the races. I think the audience enjoyed it too. As Bursa, we will continue to host different sports branches. We are creating the infrastructure for the development of such sports. Last week, we held Softaoğlu Mehmet Pehlivan wrestling here again. Bursa is a pioneer city in sports as well as being a pioneer in many fields. It is a special pleasure for us to host the adrenaline-filled drift championship," he said.
Iranian athlete Reza Fahim Keykhosravi, who finished first in the 2nd leg of the Turkish Drift Championship, thanked those who contributed by stating that all the athletes fought well in the competition.
Car enthusiasts watching the race, on the other hand, stated that it was a very fun and exciting organization and expressed that they enjoyed watching it.
The third race of the championship will be held on 02-03 September at İzmir Park Racetrack.
