During the operation carried out at the İpsala Customs Gate by the Customs Enforcement teams of the Ministry of Commerce, 3 trucks, which were determined to have been brought to Turkey for the purpose of being disassembled and sold, were seized. In the continuation of the operation, 12 more trucks were identified, which were understood to have been brought for the same purpose.

According to the information received, the teams of the Ipsala Customs Enforcement Smuggling and Intelligence Directorate examined the vehicles that were at risk of being left in Turkey with the analyzes they carried out within the scope of the fight against smuggling.

During the checks carried out by the teams for the 3 trucks that came with an "empty" load, the suspicious behavior and movements of the vehicle drivers and other persons in the vehicles attracted the attention of the teams.

In the examinations made on vehicles and individuals, it was determined that the vehicles in question would be brought to the country and disassembled and these parts would be illegally released into the domestic market. In the expanded operation, it was determined that there were 12 more trucks brought to Turkey for the same purpose. As a result of the devoted efforts of the teams, a major smuggling attempt was prevented.

It was understood that the detected trucks were worth 32 million 205 thousand liras. The investigation into the incident continues before the İpsala Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

Thanks to the determination of the Customs Enforcement teams, the sale of used vehicle parts to consumers as new products was prevented, and the rights of honest traders who sold these parts were protected.
