Toyota failed to meet its 2023 million production target in 10,1

Japanese manufacturer Toyota announced its comprehensive production, sales and export data for April 2023-March 2024.

Accordingly, Toyota's vehicle production in the 2023 fiscal year increased by 9,2 percent to 9,97 million compared to the previous fiscal year.

The Japanese company's previously announced production target of 2023 million vehicles for the 10,1 fiscal year could not be achieved.

Marine lot production increased by 5 percent to 6,66 million. Demand originating from Europe and North America affected this increase

The company's domestic production increased by 18,7 percent to 3,31 million. The normalization of domestic vehicle demand after Covid-19 had a positive impact on this increase.

SALES EXCEEDED 10 MILLION FOR THE FIRST TIME

The Japanese company's global vehicle sales for the 2023 fiscal year increased by 7,3 percent compared to the previous fiscal year, reaching 10,31 million.

The number of sales exceeded the 10 million mark for the first time in Toyota's history in a fiscal year. Overseas and domestic sales performance contributed to this record.

Overseas sales increased by 7 percent to 8,78 million, and intra-Japan sales increased by 8,7 percent to 1,53 million.
