The World Motocross Championship, hosted by Afyonkarahisar for five years, will be held for the sixth time in the World's Best Paddock and Track Area. A meeting was held with the participation of the provincial protocol and press members before the championship.
Afyonkarahisar, which will host the concerts of famous artists, award-winning athletes, motor racers from all over the world and racing enthusiasts, will once again make a name for itself under the leadership of our Mayor Mehmet Zeybek.
Afyonkarahisar Municipality, which brings local and foreign visitors together with seven different international events every year, will hold the World Motocross Championship at the Motorsports Center on August 30-31, September 1-2-3.
The event program of the championship and Motofest held within this scope was announced to the public with a press conference held in a thermal hotel.

Speaking about the success of the Motocross Championship and his contributions to Afyonkarahisar, our Deputy Ali Özkaya said; “As Motocross, we will organize our 5th organization in 6 years. Motocross is the only sport in the world and in Turkey that has 6 championships in a row. In this respect, we have achieved a really stable and upward momentum every year. One of the international participants told me, “When you type MXGP in the search engine abroad, Afyonkarahisar appears”. This is very important for the promotion of our city. In this sense, our racetrack here is among the best tracks in the world for both racers and spectators. It should be added that while Afyon Motor Sports Center was being planned, it was not only made for sports organizations. This is a complex with the best infrastructure in the world. Afyonkarahisar has a very important facility in order to prevent panic after disasters and emergencies, for health interventions and for the public to stay away from danger, with the subway internet, WCs, showers, transformer, international camping caravan area, kitchen and laundry infrastructure provided to users with 7\24 security.
