Marc Marquez will not race for KTM in 2024
Six-time world champion Marc Marquez will not race for KTM in 2024. Marquez has a contract with Honda until the end of 2024 and there are no vacancies at KTM.
Marquez praised KTM's development and said he wanted to compete in the team, but KTM currently has other plans for its future. KTM team principal Pit Beirer said: “I currently have five riders under contract and only four places!” said. “It is a great compliment for us to be named with Marc and to hear it from him. But right now we have to stick to our own schedule and our own work.”
Marquez will continue to race with Honda through 2024 and try to fight for the title. Marquez had a tough season with injuries in the 2022 season, but regained his form in the final races of the season and earned race wins. Marquez hopes to perform even better in the 2023 season and fight to win the title.
