Karsan, which was awarded the title of 'Europe's Most Innovative Commercial Vehicle Brand' at the Global Brand Awards 2022, continues its offensive in Italy. Karsan continues to strengthen its presence in Italy, one of the most important countries in Europe in the transformation of electric public transportation, by signing agreements that will further strengthen its structuring in Europe in line with its goals.
Having signed a framework agreement with Italy-based public procurement company Consip for 2021 e-ATAKs in 80, Karsan received a total of 55 e-ATAK orders from different operators within the scope of this agreement. Adding a new one to these orders, Karsan has also received an order for 27 e-ATAKs, which will be the first electric vehicles of Start Romagna, one of the largest operators of the country, under the Consip framework agreement in Italy.
The target in Italy is leadership in 2023
With this order to be delivered in 2023, Karsan has received all orders within the framework of the framework agreement signed with Consip for 2021 e-ATAKs in 80.
Underlining that Karsan is the leader of the electric midibus segment in Europe in 2021, Karsan CEO Okan Baş said, “With this order, e-ATAK already seems to be the leader of the electric midibus segment in Italy in 2023.” said.

Expressing that Karsan has serious growth targets in this market with its electric vehicles, Okan Baş continued as follows:
“With the Start Romagna order following the previous Consip and TPER 18 meter e-ATA orders, Karsan's electric vehicle park in Italy will exceed 150 in total next year. With the increase in electric mass vehicle conversion; We aim to be one of the top 2023 brands in the electric vehicle market in Italy by the end of 5.
