Ford Trucks aims to develop F-MAX in Turkey

Ford Trucks will collaborate with Ballard Power Systems to pioneer zero-emission transportation solutions. As part of this cooperation, Ford Trucks will supply fuel cells from Ballard Power Systems and will develop and manufacture the first hydrogen-powered fuel cell electric (FCEV) F-MAX in Turkey. The FCEV F-MAX will begin its European Ten-T corridor screenings in 2025.

This collaboration demonstrates Ford Trucks' commitment to zero-emission transportation solutions. With this cooperation, Ford Trucks aims to contribute to the environment by producing environmentally friendly vehicles.

The details of the cooperation are as follows:

  • Ford Trucks will purchase 2 FCmove™-XD 120 kW fuel cell engines from Ballard Power Systems.
  • Fuel cell engines will be delivered to Ford Trucks in 2023.
  • FCEV F-MAX will be developed and manufactured in Turkey.
  • The vehicle is expected to begin showings on the European Ten-T corridor in 2025.
