Earthquake risk in the Mediterranean

The Mediterranean Region is one of the most active earthquake regions in Turkey. Earthquakes occur frequently due to the fault lines in the region. Especially the provinces of Muğla and Antalya are located at the intersection of fault lines in the Mediterranean. For this reason, there is a high probability of larger earthquakes occurring in these provinces.

AFAD warns citizens living in the Mediterranean Region to be prepared for earthquakes and take the necessary precautions.
