Land Rover has released the first images of the all-electric version of its Range Rover Sport, a strong contender in the luxury SUV market.

Avoiding radical design changes, the new model largely retains the iconic lines of its internal combustion engine sibling.

ICONIC DESIGN MEETS ELECTRIC MOTOR.

Visually distinguishable only by its closed grille and the absence of exhaust outlets, the vehicle is built on the versatile MLA platform.

This advanced infrastructure provides full compatibility with internal combustion, hybrid, and fully electric powertrains.

Powered by dual electric motors, the Range Rover Sport Electric will produce between 444 and 542 horsepower and deliver 800 Nm of instantaneous torque.

The model features a 118.5 kWh dual-layer cylindrical battery, promising an average range of 531 kilometers according to EPA data.

Thanks to its 800V electrical architecture, the vehicle can be charged in an extremely short time with 350 kW DC fast charging support.

In addition, four-wheel steering (4WS) technology has been added to the system to improve the handling and turning radius of this massive SUV model.

GLOBAL LAUNCH LATER THAN THIS YEAR.

The new Range Rover Sport Electric will be revealed in full detail at its official world launch later this year.

The European range figures for the model, which will bring a new breath of fresh air to the electric luxury class, will also be revealed at the launch.
