Kia has introduced a new top-of-the-line trim package called Black-Line for its compact electric SUV model, the EV2. This new version, added to the EV2 family, features a 61 kWh battery, a WLTP range of 418 km, black design details, a comprehensive list of standard equipment, and a starting price of €40.890.
The Kia EV2 product family consisted of Light, Air, Earth, First Edition, and GT-Line options. Black-Line was added as a new top-level package alongside these options. Based on the GT-Line trim, this version features black details in the exterior design and a completely black interior.
The new version features special 19-inch dark-colored wheels, a black roof that contrasts with the body, and glossy black exterior design elements. Black details are evident around the body, on the roof section, and in the wheel design.
The interior features faux leather upholstery. The dashboard utilizes a large screen layout consisting of a 12,3-inch digital instrument panel, a 5,3-inch climate control monitor, and a 12,3-inch central multimedia screen. The vehicle also includes Kia Connect, wireless Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, and wireless update support.
The Kia EV2 Black-Line comes with a 61 kWh battery, offering a WLTP range of up to 418 km on a single charge. The electric motor produces 135 horsepower, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 9,7 seconds and reaching a top speed of 161 km/h.
On the charging side, it supports fast DC charging. The EV2 Black-Line can charge the battery from 10% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes. For AC charging, it offers standard support of 11 kW, while 22 kW AC charging support is available as an option.
The standard equipment list includes a Harman Kardon sound system, electrically adjustable driver's seat, V2L feature capable of supplying 230V power to external devices, heat pump, dual-zone climate control system, rearview camera, heated front seats, and automatic outward opening door handles.
In terms of driving assistance, Highway Assistant 2.0, or the HDA 2.0 package, is offered as standard. The luggage capacity varies between 362 and 403 liters in the rear. There is also a 15-liter front luggage compartment.
The starting price for the Kia EV2 Black-Line has been announced as €40.890. Customer deliveries of the new version will begin in September.
