Porsche has unveiled an electric version of its popular Cayenne Coupé. The company states that this vehicle could be the most powerful Porsche model of all time. While mechanically almost identical to the standard Cayenne Electric, the Cayenne Coupé Electric features a more aerodynamic body design, resulting in improved range and performance.
The new model is offered in three versions: Cayenne Coupé Electric, Cayenne S Coupé Electric, and Cayenne Turbo Coupé Electric. All versions utilize an 800-volt architecture and offer fast charging up to 400 kW. Under ideal conditions, charging from 10% to 80% takes 16 minutes. With a 113 kWh battery capacity, the estimated range in the WLTP cycle is 415 miles (approximately 350 miles under EPA conditions).
Performance at three different levels
The base Cayenne Coupé Electric model produces 408 horsepower (442 horsepower with overboost). The Cayenne S version increases this to 544 horsepower (666 horsepower with overboost). But the Cayenne Turbo Coupé Electric takes the competition to another level: delivering 857 horsepower in normal mode and **1.156 horsepower** with overboost. This power allows the car to complete 0-60 mph in just **2.5 seconds** and reach a top speed of 162 mph.
The rear design, reminiscent of the BMW X-series, provides more efficient driving with an aerodynamic drag coefficient of 0.23. Sitting approximately 2.5 centimeters lower than a standard SUV, the vehicle has a race-oriented look. It can carry four adults and offers 3.2 cubic feet of front luggage space.
Interior design and comfort features
Although the interior is slightly narrower than the standard Cayenne Electric due to the sloping roof, Porsche has prioritized comfort and technology. Optional features include an electrochromic panoramic roof, auto-opening doors, and leather upholstery. Digital and physical controls are combined; a large screen extends from the center console to the passenger-side air vent. Customizable graphics, augmented reality head-up display, and personalized app integration are also available.
Introduced at the Beijing Auto Show, the base Cayenne Coupé Electric starts at **$113.800** (excluding delivery). The Cayenne S version will retail for $131.200, while the Turbo Coupé Electric will retail for **$168.000**. This pricing is considered quite competitive in today's market conditions for a luxury sporty electric SUV with a 350-mile range and 1.156 horsepower.
