We first saw the facelifted Volkswagen Caddy's exterior design about two months ago. Now, the German manufacturer has shared the interior of the refreshed Caddy for the first time. The digital innovations in the cabin bring the model to the same level as the brand's current product range.
The biggest innovation in the interior of the new Volkswagen Caddy is the 12,9-inch freestanding infotainment screen, borrowed from the Golf and T-Roc. While the menu structure has been simplified and made more customizable, the controversial touch-sensitive climate control sliders remain. However, these controls are now backlit, improving ease of use. Digital Cockpit Pro and wireless charging are standard on all versions.
Updates to the exterior design of the Caddy family are also quite limited. The model stands out with its redesigned front bumper, which uses more traditional air intakes instead of the previous honeycomb pattern. Unpainted plastic details are prominent in the Cargo version, while passenger-focused versions such as the Life, Style, and California feature body-colored surfaces and black details.
The headlight design and the LED light strip connecting the Volkswagen logo have been retained. While there are no changes to the side profiles, new wheel options ranging from 16 to 18 inches and four new metallic colors – Reed Green, Sunset Red, Grenadilla Black, and Grey-Brown – have been added.
The facelifted Caddy is said to largely retain its engine options. The 148 hp eHybrid version offers up to 122 km of electric range and over 620 km of total range with its 19,7 kWh battery.
Production continues at the Poznan plant in Poland, and orders are now open across Europe. Prices start at approximately €26.480 for the Cargo version and €34.200 for the Combi version in Germany.
