The challenging curves of the Nürburgring Nordschleife celebrate a new king in electric car history. Porsche development driver Lars Kern, behind the wheel of a Taycan Turbo GT equipped with the Manthey Kit, managed to complete the 20,8-kilometer “Green Hell” in just 6 minutes and 55 seconds.
The Manthey Touch: A First in Electricity
Manthey Racing, previously known primarily for its 911 GT3 models, has now brought its expertise to the electric vehicle market. Moreover, this time the changes aren't limited to the body. Software optimizations and inverter upgrades included in the kit have increased the car's "Attack Mode" power to a full 979 horsepower (730 kW). This represents a performance increase far beyond the standard model.
The downforce has tripled.

The new kit, which revolutionizes aerodynamic efficiency, is equipped with a massive rear wing, an optimized front diffuser, and carbon aerodiscs. Thanks to these updates, the vehicle generates approximately 740 kg of downforce at 310 km/h. This is three times the value of the standard Weissach package model.
Price and Accessibility
The Manthey Kit, which will be available for order starting in June 2026, will be offered as a "retrofit" option for current Taycan Turbo GT owners. Expected to be priced at around €91 in the European market, this package transforms the car from an everyday sedan into a true track beast.
