MG, operating under the umbrella of Chinese SAIC Motor, has officially unveiled its new electric SUV model, the MG 4X. Available for pre-order in China, the car has a starting price of 99.800 yuan, or approximately $14.700.

This price point makes the MG 4X stand out not only as a new electric SUV, but also as one of the models that brings semi-solid-state battery technology to a lower price range.
The MG 4X features the brand's new design language. The front includes a closed grille, a full-width light strip, and slim, rounded LED headlights. Air intakes along the bumper edges give the vehicle a sportier look. The side profile features multi-spoke wheels and traditional door handles. At the rear, the full-width taillights are a striking feature.
The model's length is 4.500 mm, width 1.849 mm, and height 1.621 mm. The wheelbase is 2.735 mm. These dimensions place the MG 4X in the compact electric SUV class. The car supports its dimensions, suitable for city use, with its long wheelbase, offering a more spacious interior.

On the technology side, the MG 4X features an intelligent driving system developed in collaboration with Horizon. This system includes advanced driving aids such as highway-assisted NOA and automatic parking assistance. Thus, the vehicle positions itself as a strong contender in its class not only in terms of price but also in terms of driving assistance technologies.
The cabin features a modern, two-tone design. The driver-centric cockpit includes a digital instrument display and a large floating multimedia screen. Phone integration, developed in partnership with MG and OPPO, is also among the technologies offered in the vehicle. This system enables faster and smoother connection between smartphones and the vehicle.
The MG 4X is available with two different power packages. The standard version features an electric motor producing 125 kW, or 168 horsepower. This option includes a 53,9 kWh LFP battery and offers a range of 510 kilometers according to the CLTC standard.
The long-range version features an electric motor producing 150 kW, or 201 horsepower. This package uses a 64,2 kWh manganese-based semi-solid-state battery and has a range of 610 kilometers.
