Opel is making a strong comeback in the Turkish market with the new Astra, once again highlighting the diesel option. Offered with a 1.5-liter diesel engine and AT8 automatic transmission, this model attracted attention with its starting price of 2.290.000 TL at launch. While the official price list shows a sales price of 2.590.000 TL for the 1.5 130 HP Diesel – AT8 GS, the launch price was specifically announced as 2.290.000 TL.
The new Astra's exterior design features the illuminated Opel Lightning logo for the first time, a detail that goes beyond being just a visual element, symbolizing the brand's innovative side. Light strips starting from the logo extend to the headlights and the bonnet line, giving the vehicle a dynamic expression. Furthermore, new wheel designs and optional two-tone body options with a black roof offer a powerful and contemporary look. Inside, the cockpit design has been refined, with ergonomic details taking center stage. Standard Intelli-Seat seats enhance comfort on long journeys; the special ergonomic recess in the center of the seats alleviates pressure on the tailbone.
The interior features a fully digital driver information display and a large multimedia screen. Furthermore, in line with Opel's Greenovation approach, sustainability is prioritized by using recyclable materials. The 1.5L diesel engine and AT8 transmission combination offered in Türkiye produces 130 HP, providing balanced performance. In limited usage, it accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 10,6 seconds and has a maximum speed of 209 km/h. Combined fuel consumption is expected to be between 5,0-5,3 L/100 km.
GS trim level Key features include 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, tinted rear windows, and LED lighting. Comfort and safety elements such as an illuminated lightning bolt logo, rain sensor, and Intelli-Seat comfort seats are also standard. Dual-zone automatic climate control, a 10-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 10-inch multimedia screen enhance the driving experience with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Additionally, automatic high beam assist, adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go, active lane keeping assist, and a 180-degree rearview camera are key components of the package. The forward collision warning system is also of fundamental importance for safe driving.
