Kia is reintroducing the XCeed with a comprehensive update for the 2026 model year. Specifically updated for Europe, these models feature a redesigned exterior, a new dual-screen cockpit system, and interior changes. The XCeed, which will be produced with both petrol and mild hybrid engine options, began production at the Žilina factory in Slovakia on May 29, 2026.

The XCeed, which will launch at the same facility alongside the Kia Sportage, Kia EV4, and Kia EV2, continues to strengthen the brand's position in the compact crossover segment.

First introduced in 2019, the XCeed carved out a unique position within the Ceed family with its hatchback and SUV-mixed design. Following its first facelift in 2022, it has now received a second, more comprehensive update. The new front design is notable for its vertical LED headlights, slimmer tiger nose grille, and enlarged air intakes; this visual language shares the same family design lines as the brand's electric EV3 model and the refreshed Stonic.

While the side profile has been largely preserved, it has been enlivened with new alloy wheels and updated color options.

At the rear, a line running along the LED taillights is complemented by a redesigned tailgate and a more prominent bumper.

Significant changes are noticeable in the interior: a cockpit with dual 12,3-inch digital displays is offered to enhance the driver's field of vision. The instrument panel and multimedia screen are combined into a single, modern user interface and feature a larger screen than the previous model. Driving ergonomics have been updated with a new steering wheel; climate controls have been simplified, and the center console has a more modern design. Updates to the seat upholstery and door panels reflect the current Kia design language in the interior.

Currently, Kia has not fully shared the technical specifications of the XCeed. While it has been confirmed that the models will be offered with gasoline and mild hybrid powertrains, there has been no announcement yet regarding a plug-in hybrid option.
