Mercedes-Benz has launched the all-electric CLA 200+ AMG version in Türkiye. The model is listed in the Turkish price list at 4.191.000 TL, with a 218 hp engine, an electric range of up to 730 km, and the ability to add up to 325 km of range with a 10-minute fast charge.
The electric version of the Mercedes-Benz CLA family, the CLA 200+ AMG, has been listed in Türkiye. The model's sales price has been announced as 4.191.000 TL. The list price, excluding taxes, is 2.253.226 TL, and it is sold with a 55% Special Consumption Tax (ÖTV). In the same price list, the CLA 220 4MATIC AMG is priced at 4.873.000 TL. With this comparison, the electric CLA 200+ is offered at a lower price in Türkiye than the gasoline-powered CLA 220 4MATIC AMG.
The CLA 200+ AMG comes with a fully electric chassis. The car features an electric motor producing 160 kW, or 218 hp. The torque is given as 335 Nm. The rear-wheel-drive model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7,6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 210 km/h. Combined electric consumption is listed as 13,5 kWh/100 km, and combined CO₂ emissions are 0 g/km.
In terms of range, the official technical specifications for the CLA 200+ state an electric range of 730 km. The city driving range is given as 843 km. These figures reinforce the model's claim of having a long range among electric cars sold in Türkiye, based on the technical specifications.
The car has a usable battery capacity of 85 kWh. On the DC fast charging side, the maximum power is stated as 320 kW. The CLA 200+ can go from 10% to 80% in 22 minutes with DC fast charging. According to WLTP, a 10-minute DC charge provides a range of 280 to 325 km. On the AC charging side, the maximum power is 11 kW, and the charging time from 0% to 100% is listed as 9 hours.
In terms of dimensions, the electric CLA 200+ is 4.723 mm long, 2.021 mm wide (including exterior mirrors), and 1.468 mm high. Without the exterior mirrors, the width is given as 1.855 mm. The trunk volume is 405 liters. The curb weight is 2.055 kg, the load capacity is 455 kg, and the permitted total weight is 2.510 kg. The car comes in a five-seater, four-door configuration.
In the electric CLA family, the Turkish page lists the CLA 350 4MATIC version in addition to the CLA 200+. The CLA 350 4MATIC is listed with 260 kW (354 hp) power, 515 Nm torque, an electric range of 702 km, 0-100 km/h acceleration in 4,9 seconds, and all-wheel drive. However, the Turkish price list shows the CLA 200+ AMG, the version at the center of this news, as the one offered for sale.
On the equipment side, the Turkish page for the new CLA features the AMG Line configuration, new MBUX, sports seats, illuminated star-patterned front design, MULTIBEAM LED headlights, panoramic roof, MB.OS platform, and MBUX Superscreen. Mercedes-Benz also states that the availability of some features depends on configuration choices.
The price of the electric CLA 200+ AMG is particularly noteworthy due to Türkiye's tax structure. While the gasoline-powered CLA 220 4MATIC AMG, with its 190 hp and 1.499 cc engine, is listed in the 100% Special Consumption Tax (ÖTV) bracket, the electric CLA 200+ AMG is priced at 55% ÖTV. This difference ensures that the electric model, despite being more powerful, remains below the gasoline-powered CLA in the price list.
