Honda is preparing to introduce a comprehensively facelifted new version of the City, one of its most important models in the Asian market, for the Indian market. Uncamouflaged images of the sedan, which will have its official premiere on May 22nd, were shared on the social media platform X.
The design details of the new City that have emerged so far mainly focus on the front section. Honda has abandoned the chrome trim that was characteristic of previous models and opted for a body-colored part instead. The Honda logo, moved closer to the front edge of the hood, the modern honeycomb grille, and the slimmer LED headlights give the car a more dynamic look at the front.
Furthermore, the completely redesigned front bumper, the more prominent splitter, and the modern air intakes have given the car a much more aggressive and sporty character. While no major changes are expected in the side profile, the rear is expected to feature an updated LED taillight design and minor cosmetic touches to the bumper.

Interior, safety and engine options.
The main focus of the facelift is said to be the interior, which will feature innovations such as a larger multimedia screen than the current 8-inch display and improved seat ventilation. In terms of technological equipment, a 360-degree surround view system and the advanced Honda Sensing safety package are among the expected features.
According to the information provided, the base version of the vehicle will continue to come with a naturally aspirated 1.5-liter i-VTEC gasoline engine producing 121 horsepower. This unit will be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission. The e:HEV hybrid version, which is a key part of Honda's strategy in the region and produces a total of 126 horsepower, will also retain its place in the model range.
