The first leg of the Turkish Off-Road Championship, held in Trabzon, started in Akçaabat. The event, featuring 44 athletes from 9 different provinces, will conclude with the final and awards ceremony on April 12th.

Organized under the coordination of the Trabzon Governorship, and in cooperation with the Metropolitan Municipality, Akçaabat District Governorship, Akçaabat Municipality, Provincial Gendarmerie and Police Directorates, Provincial Health Directorate, Provincial AFAD Directorate, and fire brigades, the first leg of the PETLAS 2026 Turkey Off-Road Championship has started in Trabzon. The ceremony, held in Akçaabat, was attended by the District Governor Yusuf Cankatar, Metropolitan Municipality General Secretary Gürkan Üçüncü, Akçaabat Deputy Mayor Davut Gerigelmez, Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Lokman Arıcıoğlu, as well as numerous citizens and athletes.

IT WILL END ON APRIL 12TH.

A total of 44 athletes (drivers and co-drivers) from 9 different provinces participated in the championship with 22 vehicles. As part of the event, an 11-kilometer endurance stage will be held tomorrow in Akçaköy neighborhood. The final stage will take place on April 12th at the Yaylacık Çimeni Reclamation Area on the Akçaabat coast. The championship will conclude with an awards ceremony at 18.00 PM after the completion of the stages.
