A signing ceremony was held for the collaboration between Başarsoft and BVB regarding the domestic automobile Togg, aiming to develop a domestic navigation system. The project aims to utilize the Gez navigation application in the Togg T10X and T10F models, while providing the infrastructure using national resources independently of the foreign HERE platform.
The domestically developed navigation system will be equipped with innovative location-based technologies, aiming to elevate the user experience to a safe, fast, and intelligent level. AI-enriched data and big data analytics will be key elements of this system; map data will be continuously updated to maintain its currency.
The domestic navigation system will not be limited to automobiles only; Smart cities have the potential for use in various fields such as logistics, e-commerce, and disaster management. They are also expected to offer significant advantages in sectors requiring high data security, such as the defense industry and aerospace.
Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır emphasized the key role of data security and shared the following views: “We view domestic navigation efforts as a move that strengthens data sovereignty, reduces external dependence, and produces national solutions.” The minister stated that they aim for this project to transcend national borders and find a place in global markets.
