MG has announced the MG4 X, a fully electric SUV model targeting young users. The "X" is said to symbolize endless possibilities for the younger target audience, and this model aims to strengthen competition in the electric SUV market by combining the MG4's design language with an SUV body type.
MG4X design language Upon closer inspection, details that emphasize the SUV character stand out while maintaining the lines of the MG4 family. The illuminated logo at the front and the long LED light strips extending from the sides are particularly striking. The front bumper, developed for a dynamic look, further enhances the sporty feel. The sharp shoulder lines and the comfortable ride height reinforce the vehicle's SUV identity. At the rear, a long taillight profile similar to the MG4 hatchback is expected.
Smart cockpit developed with Oppo When asked about the subject, MG didn't fully disclose the details of the interior, but confirmed that it will utilize a smart cockpit system designed in collaboration with Oppo. This system, called 'Hand-Car Interconnection,' offers a fast and seamless connection between a smartphone and the vehicle's multimedia system.
Driving assistance technologies integrated with Horizon Robotics during the development process also stand out. NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) supported driving assistant and automatic parking system for the MG4X. Advanced features like these are being included in the plans.
Semi-solid-state battery technology This technology stands out as the model's most remarkable innovation. Introduced in the MG4 Anxin Edition, this technology is integrated as standard into this model and offers a range of approximately 510 kilometers according to CLTC measurements. Due to its manganese-based structure, the battery contains only 5% liquid electrolyte, which significantly improves thermal stability and cold-weather performance.
